The Police Jury meet on Mon day next. Our planters are complaining of the want of rain. District Court adjourned on Friday of last week. Don't forget the election to take place next Monday. Cur parish jail at this time is without an occupant. The nian at work-Louis Ri dcau, our village wood-sawyer. A good deal of sickness pre vails in this parish, principally of the pneumoniatype. It appears that a great many of our citizens are going in the "goose raising" business. Many thanks to thi young lady who sent to our sanctum a nice and beautiful bouquet of flowers. A called meeting of the Town Council was held last Saturday, and adjourned to Wednesday, the 27th inst.
