The end of the tirst year"f President Cleveland's terra of offico is near at hand. It has been a busy year and one fraught with great consequences. The manifold difliculties in the way of the first Democratic Administration upon a return of the party to political power after a lapse of a quarter of a century can snar-ly be appreciated by the country.
