We should have much to say to oar read- en this week, by way of excuse for the non- appearance of the Times for the last three weds, if it were necessary. However invet- erate the anathemas heaped upon car devoted head by oar patrons upon failing to receive «K<nr paper at its regular days, we feel as- sured that, upon reflection, it will be remem- bered by all, that in everything in the way of business, there is an occasional " lock-up," " stand-still," which cannot reasonably be avoided. We might enumerate a few in- stanous which would be sufficiently suggest- ive, but it is unnecessary. It will be suffi- cient fbr « to say, in plain terms, that we ban been without paper, and therefore had nothing to print on. - We must pro test that this condition of things baa not been occasioned by any fault of ours.
