Country News. [from oor own correspondent.] OORINNA. Tbings are looking pretty lively here now, sections having been secured for silver. Sbme prospectors for a Hobart association passed through here on their wuy to Zeehan, with a large swag of rimens, obtained from the vicinity of Pieman, for assay, and from the appearance of stuff there is every likeli hood of the Pieman securing its share of praise as a fentnre in the silver formation of _ the West Coast. There is also another mineral here, one that requires no flux nor smelting furnacp, tliat will soon take its stand, viz., gold, and if the Pieman Reward G.M. Co. (reefing) and Brooks (alluvial) turn out as anticipated, this part will not play second fiddle. The track, cut by the Government to Ruward claim, is now being ijped by prospectors for silver, this route offering jrreat facility for transit of tucker to the Meredith range. December 10.
