The Afternoon's sport opened with tho Hurdle Baca, which was a very disap pointing affair, as only two jumpors facod tho starter, Vaspa and Ancona Boy. Tho raco was practically ovor when tho horses had gono a mile, Vaspa winning easily. Tho Hurdlo Raco is generally a feature of tho Nagambie mooting, but this year it was on unequal oontest. Amouds woro soon mado, howovor, for iu tho Maiden Plato a good Gold camo out, and Kaloena tho favorito, had to bp con tent with second place, Um adda being tho first to catch tho judgo'soyo.
