The pro vision of a three-flfthe majority in a joint sitting of both Houses hIas beern removed, but instead of a simple majority deciding, as was asked, the majority must be an absolute one of both Houses, It was found imlpossible to arrive at anything to take the place of the Braddon clause. It was, there. fore, decided to leave the clause in, but to limit its operation to 10 years, The Federal patliament may at the end of that' period remove the clause.
