; Our Sy&asy Lstt'sr. BY THE TOWN BELLMAN. ONE has passed, away during the week, whose career of usefulness bad only jnstibe gun.^ tfe did not die in his bed, but suffered horribly for two days before his spirit fled. I refer to the member for East Macquarie", Mr. A. JT. Peechey, who. died at Bathurst on Monday night from injuries sustained in a buggy accident. Mr. Peechey was driving past a paddock, when a brute of a cur cajne out silently and bit his horse's off hind leg. The animal was very spirited and began to plunge and rear. Mr. Peechey turned to whip the dog, the buggy turned over by . coming in contact with a curb stone', and the | gentleman becoming entangled in the reins, . fell under the wheels, &od his head was frightfully crushed. Per days he lay un conscious, and at length he died in that state. l people are very indignant that the, carelessness of the owner of a wretched cur should have caused the loss of a valuablo life.
