As before stated by us, the murderers of the Loring party were Apaches, despite the falsehoods of Captain O'Bcirnc, 21st Infantry, and those of other Apache allies of less note. The Preseott Miner of last Saturday gives the bloody history of General Crook's attempt to arrest the murderers at Date Creek and also his preceding work, -which we will copy next week. Our Bpacc this morning will only per mit us to say that General Crook irom the first believed and soon after had the evi dence that Apaches did the horrid deed ; that he has been ever since making efforts to secure their arrest ; that when he in person tried to do so on the Date Creek Eeserve about two weeks ago, the Gov vcrnment ied Apaches resisted, resulting in the 6cvere wounding of a soldier, nar rnw escatie of the General from a well- aimed Indian gun...

Price per Year, $5 ; Six Months, $3 TUCSON, ABIZONA ntrurclay. Oct. 5. 1872. FOR DELEGATE TO CONGRESS, richard c. Mccormick. Election, November 5, 1572. TWO YEARS OtD. This number completes the second year of Tiie Aeizoita Citizen. Financially considered, the journal has brought its proprietor neither riches nor poverty ; but in a higher sense, it has been a marked success. To its fearless publication of truth, the worst of civil and military offi cials credit their downfall. It never has nor never will seek contentions, but when public interests and good citizens are so much jeopardized as at times during the past two years in Arizona, it will not hesitate to con demn the wrong and wrong doer and uphold the right. Ordinary infrac tions- of law which the regularly constituted authorities can, if they will, easily and properly attend to; The Citizen will give little or no notice. Any attempt to make it please every body would be one to make it worthless and contemptible, and as in th...
