Weekly Citizen. SUNDAY, - - FEBRUARY 4. 1KSS. OPEN UP NXYV RESOURCES. The growth of Tucson, like most western towns at some period of their existence, has about reached that point beyond which it cannot go. unless the avenues of trade are cxtendoiLor new resources are developed. Hitherto our town has had a romarkaWy healthy growth, and while it lias never hud what may be termed a boom, it has sever had any material "set-baek, at lout not of lato years. Its growth has been steady and continuous, but !how much long¬ er this season of prosperity will lat without opening up new resources is question upon which there can Ik? but little difference of opinion in the miuds of those best qualified to judge. Tuc¬ son now contains a population of about 10,000 people. Is it the desire of the present residents to increase the uum- j ber?" It seems to us tLere can be hut one rational answer to this question. " e want immigration, a 3d we wnut the beet kind. We want men with capital to invest m ma...
