The celebrated Guerrilla Chief, Forrest is just now making us considerable trouble, lie i* in the northern part of Kentucky, committing terrible depredations. The last raid resulted in the capture Of Colum bug Ky., And Fort Hillow, at the capture ef the fort, which was defended by a gar rison of 6 JO, only 200 were spared, the rest being killed in cold blspd after the surren der of the fort. About one third of the garrison were negroes, and these the inhu man Devils murdered without any show of mercy, piling the dead and wounded in one pile and burning the whole. If the rebel government claim that these wardering bands of murderers and thieves are soldiers, they should be held responsi hie for their acts, and our government should exici an "eye for an eye."
