Las Cruets lies 44 miles north ot El Puso, iu the beautiful Messilla Valley, one of the richest agricul tural districts in the Territory. Here, fruit of all kinds grow to perfection. I have here seen some of the finest peaches, apples, pears, grapes, melons, sweet potatoes, and in fact all kinds of fruit and vegetable? that can be found any where iu the world. Grapes are selling here at 3 cents per lb ; wa termelons, that would bring 75cts at White Cuks, can be bought here for 10 c'ts ; and for 50 c'ts you can purchase more vegetables in Las Cruces, than $ 2 would buy in your town. The people ot this county were badly disappointed over Judge Bristol's ief'u-al to hold court here. Not only was it a gicat loss to the place, but a great hardship and cruelty to prisoners who have been in jail as long as 18 months, waiting tor a trial, an...
