TnE DAILY TRESS. ItKNIlY ItKTCIJ Ac CO., mitobs A in) nonimu, TUESDAY.. ....JIXY ir Acceptance and Inexorable Logic of John C. Breckinridge. Mr. Breckinridge'a letter of acceptance U not limited by the caution which, since the time of Clay, hss been the policy of the can didates of the Opposition, lest they might say some thing which could be made a practicable breach for the assaults of the other party, Mr. Breckinridge's position required no such timidity. Nominated by the South, on the Just and only representative principle thatthe Democratic States should control a Dem ocratic nomination, and free from that anti- slavery pressure which forces Northern Dem ocrats into duplicity and double-faced plat forms, nothing less was expected from Mr, Breckinridge than a clear declaration of the rights which the South claim in the Union, with a plain statement of the principles on which they are formed. This expectation Mr. Breckinridge has un dertaken to fill. The principles which he has l...

W iDppoM that when all si a it from the world, and the beast with the eeren heads and ten horns is cast into the bottom less pit, and the New Jerusalem begins, the consequences of sin will also be remored. Then all men will be bora free and equal, just as they now are in the Chicago Platform. Then, doubt less, the color of mankind will be uniform; and, of coarse, white, for the superior race will force its complexion on the inferior. It is doing that now ; which shows that our instinctive prejudice against the...

THE DAILY PRESS HKNBY IllCKO 6c CO., , ssrroas aao tmoraiwroM. FRIDAY.. .JIXY !t0 Going Back to First Principles. Mr. Heinrich Jehoraphat Roff, Counsellor at Law, Wall-street, New York, oitori to the heirs of citizens of that State, whose slaves were emancipated by the Legislature, to es tablish their claims to the posterity of the emancipated negroes; and baring thus estab lished slavery as an existing relation, he thinks it would be easy to go a little further and include all the negroes.
