Mr. Wendell, late public printer, testifies that when he sold- tJe Constitution, Mr. Buchan nroran, to Mr. Bowman, for the A'd'cnnistration,he agreed tOcontribate fl"0,000 annually, made ont of the pub lic printing to its support. This amount was finally increased to t20,000, and Mr. Bowman took possession.
