The calls for the Republican primaries to bo held on September 1 appear In this issue of The Republican. The importance of these primaries must not be overlooked by the party workers.. Every one Interested in the party should take au active interest in the primaries and see to it that only men who have the good of the whole party at heart are selected as delegates to the district convention and from there to the Territorial convention. Libel suits seem to be in the air. Now the Advertiser comes In for a suit for damages In the sum of J20.0Q0 In which Eugene Avery is plaintiff. One thing about the Advertiser suit is that Mr. Avery did not hide behind a criminal complaint so as to compel the Territory to pay the expenses of his litigation.
