vrrest In 2005, she moved with her son and his wife, Roberta, to South Beach, Ore. She is survived by her son, Jim; three grandsons; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters. Her ashes will be placed at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside, with her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity County Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 1228, Weaverville, CA 96093. PAGE Display June was an avid golfer and bowler. In 1954, she was Women’s All-Events Champion of Europe in bowling. After returning from Germany, the family lived on the Monterey Peninsula, where she managed two bowling lanes. In 1970, they moved to Lewiston and lived in the Bucktail Subdivision where they had many friends. She loved fishing on the Trinity River and golfing at Trinity Alps Golf Course. She caught many salmon and had six holes-in-one. She golfed until she was 85 years old. She loved animals and helped raise money to build the animal shelter in ...

Trinity’s Superior Court Judge for the last 25 years, Harold Underwood announced his retirement from the bench effective the end of August. The Judge was just honored as Parade Marshal of Weaverville’s Fourth of July celebration, held a few days after he marked the 25th anniversary of his appointment to the Trinity Superior Court bench. bench. Trinity County residents earned first place honors in the 5th annual Timber Ridge run on July 4 that drew 86 runners. Jeff Parkan of Weaverville won the two-mile and Hayfork’s Don Merwin won the sixmile race.
