■IP® W-- M LIPSCOMB LIME -LIGHT AND FOLLETT TIMES, AUG, 121920 THREE W Sv American Liberty in Danger. BY J. C. McGHEE, (Continued From Last Week) Practically the Democratic convention at San Francisco was ruled by Autocratic principles, and the case of Senator Reed is absolute proof of it. He was held in eontempt and flaunted in dtrision. When he stepped into the convention hall he was hissed and scoffed at. He was rottoned egged in a town in Oklahoma, in jshame to that Democratic state, because he opposed the League of Nations. He was treated worse no doubt, than they would have treated a common horse thief. It is doubtful if that Democratic bunch of Autocratic *'Democrats" so called would have sneered and derided the biggest horse thief in the west as they did Senator Reed in thats© called Democrat conventions And for what reason? For none other than be dared to speak his honest convictions. Do true American citizens realize that? It was because he respected his oath, and acted as...
