There is a growing want of true court- rev in all the relations of life. Good manners never have failed to reward men and women in whom they are conspicu- ous. They are not put on and off at will but can be compared t o a good conscience which is the outcome of all that a man has been in the past. Great and good men have not only reaped the reward of a good open heart but they have been made to realize that life wa8 a gift above all other human distinctions. Power and wealth have been impotent to till the measures of jovb superlative that courte- sy has been awarded to the true gentle- man and lady.
