SDoss VpJe CmamidS. ELECTION OF MAYOR. A special meeting of the Moss Vale Council was held on Friday afternoon for tho purpose of electing tho Mayor for the eusuing year. The members present were — Aid. N. H. Throsby, McGregor, Cullen. Taylor, A. B. Voung, Goodridae, Richard son and R030. Aid, Cullen proposed that Aid. Throsby he elected Mayor for the ensuing twelve months. In the past Mr. Throsby had discharged tho duties with a good deal of zeal and ho did not sec any reason for mak ing a change. Aid. McGregor seconded. The motion was put ond carried without oppo sition. The Mayor, having taken the chair, thanked the aldermen present for the honor of re-election. Ho was anxious for tho progress and welfare of the town and district. Naturally until they obtained a good water supply tho place would not go ahead, and ho would earnestly co-operate with the other aldermen in obtaining the bust possible scheme.
