PREACHER AND RADIO. Canon Howard Lea, who preached at the evening service of the new Presbyterian Church at Lithgow re cently, referred to the unity of wire less which had been brought to hiin very forcibly that very day. Rev. A. P. Campbell, of Killara, he said, had preached an eloquent ser mon in the morning, which had been broadcast by the Sydney station 2 F C. Less than an hour after the close of the service, a telephone ring was received from a listener at Nar roniine, three hundred miles away, who offered his congratulations.

"Very neat and attrac tive" describes the "BABY GRAND"; but wait till you connect it up to your receiver. You will be intensely surprised at the amount of volume which can be got out of this little speaker with out introducing the slightest distortion into the signal. THEY LOOK WELL AND SPEAK WELL! Electricity in the Home. ELECTRICITY IN THE HOME Town Comforts in the Country. [Newspaper Article] — The Biz — 15 December 1928

Electricity in the Home. ELECTRICITY IN THE HOME Town Comfort* in the Country. One of the most valuable develop ments of modern electricity is .the home light and power unit for use in localities not served by an electrical system. The establishment of such a unit brings to a country home com forts which in the past have been re stricted to residents of cities and towns. The power unit can easily and quickly be installed, occupying a very small space. It needs little at tention and requires no special know ledge of electricity to operate. A single cylinder or petrol engine pro vides the power together with an electric generator and storage bat tery. The plant is then started by pressing a switch, and it stops auto matically when the battery is fully charged. With a light and power unit of this kind the whole house, though hundreds of miles from town, can be run electrically, as the equipment includes not only electric lighting and heating, but labor-saving devices.
