BFNALLA POLICE COURT. Friday November 19. (Before Mr Sharpe.) George C. Robinson was charged with stealing a gray mare, the property of James Beggs, of Alexandra. Sergeant Whelan applied for a remand to Mansfield, as the horse was there, and the warrant bad also been issued there. Constable William Arthur stated that he ws sent to Tatong on the previous day to look for prisoner, who was described in a telegram re. ceived from Seraeant ChObadwick, of Manifield. Found him in the woolshed at Tatong, and told him be was oharged with horse steallor. Re said he bought a gray mare out of the Benella pound a few weeks previously, and bartered her for another horse to a man named Jeffreys.. lHe had no pound receipt, and the constable appre. handed him. Robinson called Mr Jesse Watts, poiodkeeper, who said, prisoner bought a gray more on the 27th. Oliver Hill, on'beinc sworn, said he knew the ground had not been wbrked's month previous to the service, of summons on' the 15th October. MANSFIELD POLICE COURT.   Tuesday, November 16.     (Before Mr. Willoby, P..L, and Mr. Sherring, J.P.) a Charles Brushwith and William Brown were brought   up on remand charged with feloniously stabbing Con- stable Frank James on the 6th inst., with intent to murder. Mr. Superintendent Furnell conducted the prosocution.
