TOORAWEENAH. [Newspaper Article] — The Castlereagh — 3 March 1905

TOORAWBENAH. From our own Correspondent On the 24th Feb. s danoe was held in erdc r to raise foods to purchase sn organ for the Union Cburoh here. It is to be regretted that only £4 was collected at the door. The dance was h«ld at 'Kvsl.igh' (Mr. Beames), a distanoe of 6 or 7 miles from the township. Very few from here tamed up st the danoe or showed signs of support of the same. The hall is si ways available for any danoes here, so there is no excuse why the danoe was not held here. The Church Com mittee g* ve insufficient notice and the affair was not edvertissd at all. The danoe being held away from the midst of the msin supporters, hence little else could be expected. It is to be biped the next undertaking of its kind will be carried oat differently. The last rains have not bear general in this part. Those who were fortu nate in having a heavy downpour so far only benefit in the way of having reoeived a good supply of water. A little snoot of grass is notioeabls, bat s further f...
