While twelve torpedo boat destroyers, with lights extinguished, were pursuing at night tlio third-class cruiser Pioneer, in the Corfu Channel, the cruiser cut the destr-iver Orwell in two. The forward part Hank in deep water, and the Pioneer towed the after-part to Corfu. Two men were drowned, and thirteen aro missing. The officers wore saved.
