EIOITOKIA _. _LS Vote Yes Wednesday ! Tomorrow ihe student body will be asked in a referendum to approve the proposed new student code and guidelines for conduct that were drafted by the Dean s ad hoc committee on extracurricular life and passed unanimously by the Student Counoil last Wednesday evening . Negative Feedback [Newspaper Article] — F&M College Reporter — 5 May 1964

Negative Feedback ( Continued from Page 8 ) matters for a student is the number of right and wrong answers on the examination paper . All too often , it seems , they have been guilty of fostering and nurturing the idea that education is really garnering knowledge to be suitably regurgitated Until recently the faculty has had the attitude chat simply tightening requirements and making courses harder would automatically make F and M a better school Indeed F and M is a much better school than it was , bat this policy , with little or no regard for the total concept of education , has also made F and M a hellish place to spend four years . It has shown ...

Council Meeting ( Continued from Page 1 ) new code would imp ly a student s respect for it , the SJB will understandably harshly punish the violator , as is done with breakers of an honor code . Lasky explained that the more liberal a code , the more strongly it tends to be enforced Since the violator has stated previously that he will respect the regulations , any infringement shows his immunity , which deserves to be punished . In other Council action , Larry Raithaus urged Council to ratify the temporary constitution of the Associated Student Governments of the United States of America . The ratification ( by a vote of 16-1-0 ) entitles F and M to vote at the next convention . Raithaus , the national secretary of this organization , explained that ASGUSA is still in the planning stages and that a permanent constitution will be drafted at the next convention The non-political body is loosely bound and is intended that way The group will be a meeting place where the representative ...
