Campbell, a' very promising young lawyer of Clarks ville, died last week. The Dyersburg Gazette of the 6th says: Mr. George Wear will commence the publication of a news paper at Newborn next week. Jno. E. Helms, an old time Knox Tille cewppaper man, has purchas ed from the Speck brothers the Iforristown Gazette. The i report and export trade of .Nashville ler tee year ending Aug. 31st, amounted to fifty millions of dollars. Mr. Sara E. Jones, one of tho moat wealthy and public spiritod citizens of Nashville, is about to erect a blast furnace in that city. The Gallatin Examiner of the 13th announces the death of Mr. John McDowell, on the 11th, in the 86th or 87th year of his age.
