Noted Frontier Character Dead Judge G. M. Frazer, the noted frontier character and veteran of the Mexican and Civil wars, died at Apline at the residence of hia daughter, Mrs. L. W. Durrell, at 3 o'clock on the after noon of Thursday, August 27, 1908. The remains were taken Fri day night to Pecos City for in terment, the deceased having expressed a desire that he might be buried there. The body was accompanied by Mrs. Durrell and Rev. Charles Brooks. The funeral occurred Sunday after noon at 4 o'clock, being held in the Methodist church at Pecos City. Judge Frazer only arrived lust week on a visit to his daughter, and in the hope that the change might be of benefit to him. For several months however he has been very feeble, and knew that his end was near and was re conciled to it. The Judge has lately been living at Toyah, from which place he came to Alpine.
