The dead are: John Bridges, aged 15, whose father keeps a hotel in Fort Worth. Charles Sweeney, aged 13, of Fort Worth. L. Montgomery, aged 13, of Fort Worth. A negro, said to be L. C. Cox, of Wtaco Injured: Henry Estes, aged 16, of Fort Worth. The northbound freight train crew, arrived in Austin a little past midnight, reported that their train had run over some boys, who appeared to be asleep on the track about a mile and a half south of the Colorado river bridge. The Coal Strike Pittsburg, Pa, July 28--Eight out of the nine coal companies' mines located in the Pittsburg district were represented at the coal operators' uniformity meeting here yesterday. The operators who shipped by river and those owning mines in the Westmoreland field were not present. The river operators held a meeting at the Coal Exchange yesterday afternoon and decided to take no part in the uniformity movement. No attention was paid to the call by the Westmoreland people. Very little was accomplished at the two sessions yesterday. The old uniformity agreement with the new clauses inserted was reported on by a committee and the meeting to-day -will take up the agreement by-laws fur discussion. Where changes in the conditions since 1896 warrant different provisions committees will be appointed to draw up clauses that will co ver the points at issue. Walter and Porter Blaine became involved in a difficulty a few days ago in Terrell, Kaufman county, in which Porter was stuck in the leg with a knife. Ed. Whitesides, charged with stealing a horse at Lehigh, I. T., was arrested recently in the northern part of Fannin county, and placed in jail at Bonham. A cottage belonging to I. T. As the afternoon train of nonunion men who have taken the places of the striking iron workers at the Scottdale iron works were going home one of them, said to be a man named Painter, became incensed at the remarks of some boys and deliberately fired at them. A laige crowd was gathered about the station at the time and they started after the non-union man, who fired four or five stots into the crowd before he reached the Geyer house, where be boarded.
