ACCIDENT AT JUNEE YARDS. Mr. D. J. Dunn, a railway employee   attached to the staff of the Junee rail- way station, met with a painful acci dent at 6 o'clock on New Year's morn ing. Dunn was carrying out some du ties at the yards when the express drew into the platform. He stepped out of its way on to the middle set of rails at the moment when a goods engine came along on them from the opposite direc tion. He did not notice the goods en gine until it was almost on top of him. Passengers on the express noticed it and called out so as to save him from what appeared certain death, but the   noise of the train and locomotives evi dently drowned their warnings. At the   last moment Dunn attempted to jump clear of the goods engine. Its buffer, however, struck him and the impact threw him on to the rails.
