SALE OF RARE W A STAMP After brisk bidding, which started at £200, a tiny piece of coloured paper no bingar than a man's thumbnail, was sold in a Chancery Lane (London), auction room a few weeks M go for £680 It was a specimen of the 4d. blue stamp of Western Australia, issued in 1854, in which tne design of the swan in the centre is upside down. Fewer than ten copies of the stamp are known to exist, and four of these are in collections which ure not likely to be broken up. One specimen is in the King's collection. A fine copy of the stamp was sold four years ago in Paris for £1060,
