Berrima. [Newspaper Article] — Robertson Advocate — 11 February 1898

Berrima. One of the oldest inhabitants of Berrima district, Mr. William Chap- man, died on Sunday night, at the   advanced age of 75. His remains were interred at Sutton Forest on Tuesday   last. Deceased was uncle to Mr. Austin Chapman, M.L.A.       Much sympathy is felt for Mr. R. N. Mathews, of Berrima, on the   occasion of the death of his second daughter, Lizzie, aged 35 years. The funeral, which was conducted by Messrs. Taylor Bros., was largely attended. It was an impressive and sorrowful last tribute to the memory of the deceased, and a practical   expression of condolence with Mr. Mathews and family.   We regret to report that the Rector,     the Rev. G. Sheppard, has been ordered by his medical attendant to take complete rest for some weeks, owing to the very precarious state of his health. He has left for Stanwell Park. The Rev. J. Brush being ...
