J. Clarke as well as credit to the colony-' which they represent. But whatever' may be the degree of reception with which they will be received on arriving, it can scarcely be imagined to be productive of less satisfaction or, indeed, to sink lower in tihe mind of the public than the farewell social given by them to their friends in Sunbury on the night of the 10th inst. It must be apparent to the most partial observer that our socials have never been conducted on principles which would tend to give comfort as well as enjoyment; though, on an occasion such as has been men tionead, it might have been thought that its promoters would have taken care that it should not piesent the appearance of a "rabble."
