Windsor Congregational Church. [Newspaper Article] — Malvern Standard — 2 February 1907

Windsor Congregational Church. On the evening of Sunday last, 27th ult., a service of sacred song was rendered by the choir of the above church. The nine se lections chosen were from Tenny son's In Memoriam, the words being here and there adapted for sake of the continuity of thought. The minister, Mr Currie, intro duced the function by giving a brief account of the circumstance which led the poet to write ; and he also indicated", between the rendering of the numbers, the meaning and teach ing of each. In the choice of appropriate tunes, as in the interpretation of the themes, the choir showed much good taste and skill. The congregation stood up and took part in the singing of some of the stanzas. The attendance was not large, lt seems rather wonderful that an educational and pleasing service of this nature should not have had, sufficient interest to draw the attention of many-even of those who do not usually f equenl churches.
