Th. speech of Mr. Morse, in tie fence of the Southern race (in the National K. N. Convention last Tues day) was a firm one, and that of Mr. Cumback was yery effective. Generally speaking, the evil originates because of careless farming, and I therefore suggest the propriety of each farmer taking upon himself the cleansing of one-half of all. roads passing along his line, and all of such roads as pass through h'i3 farm, from such pests as burs, beggar's lice, mullen, L'c.
