' $ A plot of the negro sailor upon the receiving ship Vermont moored off ' Brooklyn Navy Yard, was discovered yesterday, and several of tbe ringleaders were arrested and placed in irons. The object of tbe conspiracy was to murder the officers, and make their escape with the arms, and being joined by their al lies, they wra to make a raid on the public and private houses. On some of the negroes, of whom there were some two hundred, were found silver badges, stars, and other insignia, which were to be used by the captains and subordinates in the conspiracy.
