THE STATE REPUBLICAN- JJ5FFBRS0N CITY, MISSOURI Subscription, $1.00 Pop Year, F. 0. Fhlksrson, Business Manager. Thursday, October 22, 1891. The Mailison street work is giving entire satisfaction. Tiif.hi: seems to bo some question about a special session. Tun European war cloud is gath ering nnd war cannot be postponed much longer. Carl Scnuuz is said to have de sired the nomination for congress in the Tammany New York district. Notiiiso like the tariff and recip rocity. It promises the greatest blessings for the American people. Mn. Blainb has given the demo crats something to think about, but the trouble about democrats is they never think. Thk elections will now soon take place, and the great political fight for 1892 will begin to take shape. The democrats in Louisana have split on the lottery question. There is no danger of electing a republican. Mn. Ci.evei.and finds himself sur rendering to Tammany this year. lie hopes more from that quarter than from the civil service reform...
