Blehty-eieht Arrive in Port Yesterday " V I = Direct From China. _ "Is civilization a failure, or is the Caucasian played out?" is getting to be a serious question here, says the Lower Californian of Ensenada, where we are beginning to be overrun by Chinese. Ten or fifteen a trip have been brought un from the south by the steamer Newborn, and yesterday she arrived from Sun Francisco with eightyfive more, fresh from the Celestial shores. The Newborn was delayed three hours for the steamship from China, and the Chinese were transferred without lauding ou the soil of Uncle Sam. If ail remained who arrive their presence would goon become insufferable, but they soon disappear, and nobody is supposed to know that they cross tlpi line into California. Some come ostensibly to work for the On Tick Company, but they ultimately help to swell the traffic via Tia .luana.
