When Sam McCollum ia graduated with tho June class there will only bo ono more McCollum of the famous basketball family left to play for the Ranchers. For 14 successive years this mod- ern race of "Edwards" has kept n member on tho basketball team and each of them havo been outstanding. This long cage selgo was started by Tom McCollum who made the Texas conferenco ono year but was n star for four years. Bob McCollum was the next to enroll in tho Cowboy in- stitute. He made the all-star team of tho Texas conferenco for three years. Gene followed Bob and was on the mythical fivo for four years. Sam only played in TC competition for ono year and was on tho first fivo of selected all-stars.
