Ortega's column of Constitutionalists attacked one of the last of the seven provision trains that left Juarez Monday afternoon at a point near Rancheria sixty-five miles south of Juarez at 10 o'clock this morning. The Fed- eral report on the hattle says the engagement was a short one and that the Constitutionalists were defeated with great loss. A telegraphic report from Col. Mancilla commanding the Federal regulars guarding the trains to Gen. Francisco Castro at 6 o'clock says that Ortega's forces were beaten off with a loss of 150 men killed and wounded.
