PAGE SIX THE ABILENE REPORTER VBII EXE TEXAS Great Document Signed at Midnight TAYLOR COUNTY OUT OF 251! and Fighting Ceased 6 Hours Later When Marshal Foch Gave Orders By the Associated Press. WASHINGTON November 11. The world war ended at six o'clock this morning- Washington time (five o'clock Abilene time) with red revolution in Germany and with William Hohenzollern the former em- peror a fugitive from his native land. Announcement that the armistice terms were signed by the German envoys at midnight last night (five o'clock Paris time) and that hostil- ities would cease six hours later (at six o'clock Washington time) was made by the stale department at 2:45 this mornnig. The terms of the surrender of Germany were not made public coin- cident with the announcement but they were to be given out later in the day.
