Sullivan charged John "McAuliffe, with having 011 October 20, 1913, sold 15oz Idwt of gold, and being unable to satisfy informant that it came lawfully into his possession. 'Superintendent Callander prosecu ted, and Mr Cornish appeared for ac cused. 'Superintendent Callander having outlined the case, called George Gib I son, ledgerkeeper at the Narional I Bank, Castlemaine, who said that 0n 28th October the bank advanced £54 11/1, 011 looz ldwt of gold, -at 72/6 ■per oz., to accused. As might be expected from the title the picture is one ol stirring fights and deeds of gallantry. Marches and counter inarches are the order of the day.
