Bursting Compressor Causes Two Deaths Broken HUL October 1. The circumstances connected with the death of Edgar Hugh Gilbert (40) assistant superintendent, and Charles Pett -28-, mechanic. aD the Central Power Station, were enquired Into at the inquest today, when evidence was given by experts regarding the fatal bursting of portion of the air com pressor. The jury returned a verdict that Gilbert and Pett had died from the effects of injuries to the head due to the bursting of an air compressor, caused by the faulty assembly of a relief valve which had not been assembled according to specifications. The jury added, as a 'rider, that in future all valves should have distinct marks as to in'et and outlet, and be thoroughly exs-.nined before beins pat into commission. Gold Watch Stolen. — A gold hunter keyless watch, valued at £50. was stolen from a sleep-out at the home of Mr. J. M-Kay, of MiV.lary-road South Hen ley Beach, on Wednesday. The vessel will berth at No. 2 Quay, where she will discharge 126 tons or gene ral canto for Adelaide consignees. She is scnedaled to continue her voyage to the eastern States about 5 o'clock this afternoon. The inter-State cargo steamer Mildura Is due to arrive at Port Adelaide from Bocfchampton. via eastern States, some time this morning. Her agents, Macdon ald.
