TO THE EDITOR. 'WEEKLY NEW' [Newspaper Article] — Weekly News — 23 May 1914

To the Editor, 'Weekly News' Sir,—Regarding Cr Johnson's remark at last week's council meeting that ''nothing will grow in Yarraville," I agree with him in regard to the stunted, diseased looking apologies for trees in the Yarraville Gardens. "Nothing will grow in Yarraville" under municipal control, but with ordin ary attention as evidenced by the beautiful trees on Mr Walpile's property, and the luxuriant grojvth in Mr Prebble's and other private gardens, "anything will grow in Yarraville" if it is properly looked after. Yours etc, •'FLORA." Yarraville. May 19.
