Suspende. ------- N our last tissue we announced that at last the Wood's Point Road or so much as was wanted was to he handed over to the Healesville Shire, and the question that is now exercising the Minds of the ratepayers is, will the Shire Council take steps to get the road put in order 7 In an article that ap peared in our issue of February 5th, we dealt with the matter from the £. s. d. point of view, and showed that even if the Shire Council undertook to raise a 'loan of £2000, which would he £500 inore than the estimated cost of the work, without asking for any assistance firo the Government whatever, their action would result in a saving of ahout £90 15s. for the first year on their present expenditure after providing for a sinking fund to repay the principal. The coming dread of the Australian colonist is the apparant increase of that dreadful complaint, Hydatids. Some say that there is no cure for it, only by operation; but in my experience 1 say that the only cure is to be found by Medicine. My son I found had a small swelling on his side, although but Slittle notice was taken of it until it in creased. in size; and four (4) years afterwards we took him to two (2)' doctors, who wanted at once to ope rate upon him. I at first objected, but afterwards took him to the Childreu's .Hospital for operation, which was un successful. After another month he ,had to be operated on again, which was .also unsuccessful, He lingered for 'about three (3) months, getting very weak. I was then advised to take him to the Hommopathic Hospital. The doctors there also wanted to operate 'upon him again; but, experiencing a doubt as to his recovery I then thought that as the doctors in both hospitals 'had expressed a doubt as to my son's ,recevery, I made up ...

It was the Druid's Gala in town on Easter Monday, and we could see the the proces sion, pass over the Newmarket Bridge, it was a pretty sight. My Mother took us all down to the St. Killa beach, we had a nice day. We saw a man catching. some Starfish, they were snch funny things, and they seemed as if they were all legs and no body.
