Local produc tion, with the addition of small im ports from Victoria, is equal to demands, which are being well main tained, especially for our choicest lib. pats. The warmer weather continues to effect the qualify of cream, with the result tlial he quantiy of choicest lmtter made available is still declin ing each week. A large proportion j of the butter now being manufactured is of secondary quality and in couse- j quence more butter has to be imported ■ from the Eastern States. Recent ] advices showed that the amount of butter now afloat from Australia for dreat Britain is a great deal less than at this period of last year. Ltd., report hav ing held their usual mouthly m^j'ket at their Nairae yards ou Thursday, January 20th, when they submitted a very attractive yarding ot both sheep and cattle to a large number of local and outside buyers. Competition was very keen and all stock, realized very satisfactory prices. Sheep,—2,900 yarded, 2,420 sold. Fat wethers made up to 31/4, hoggets to 29/1, lambs to 29/-, store lambs to 25/6. CaLLle.—70 yarded, 44 sold. Fat heifers sold up to £15 2/0, fat cows to 12 2/6, steers to £12.

Matthews (President) pre sided over a satisfactory attendance of members. The report and balance sheet were presented by the bon. secretary (Mr. It. O. WllkscU). The report con gratulated the members on the suc cess which had attended the first year's operations of the ciub. There were 112 members, and the p.ofit on BLAIR lie first meeting was £102. In preparing, the course for the first meeting held on August 14, 1920, there had been an expenditure at £780 on material and labour. There are wauling indications that some of the business ni6n of Murray Bridge have great faith in the possi bilities of the town and district gene rally in regard-to future development. j.ne Progress Association, ably led by the President (Mr. F. Jenkins) and well supported by Messrs. Beckwith, Haunaford, Hosking, Homburg, Pellew, and other local businessmen - and Mr. L. J. Kappe (Hon.
