WILL COUNTY DAIRY HERD IMPROVEMENT TOUR WELL ATTENDED [Newspaper Article] — Farmers' Weekly Review — 29 May 1929

WILL COUNTY DAIRY HERD IMPROVEMENT TOUR WELL ATTENDED More than 50 people attended the dajry tour sponsored Vby the two dairy herd improvement associations of Will . County last Monday the 27 th of May . .- While the tour was about half an hour slow at the start the time was soon made up and the tour was conducted on schedule throughout the rest of the day . Four interesting stops weni * , , made as planned at the farms of How ^ lj ard Klett , George -Freis , Fred Wllhelmi and Dunne Remus . These men apparently degerve the reputation of being 1 -, good dairymen that they are making , as we understand there was very little dolling up done before they received their visitors on this occasion . George Freis barn did seem to be rather thoroughly scrubbed out but we under-. s tand this herdsman of his is rather made that way . Dr . Pieper and John Brock from the University of Illinois helped make the day of considerable -more pracitcal value by their pertinent suggestions
