SATURDAY, MAY 4, 1831. From the Law: recce Journal CULTIVATION. Perhaps, in the experience of the readers of the Journal, who reside in Kansas, April showers were never eo welcome as have been those of the present month ; and they have fallen so . generally and plentifully as to quite dispel the fears of many who were beginning to fear the failure of crops from another drouth. The good to result from Che3e rains to the farming intereU of Kan sas, and through those to every department of industry and trade, will be almost beyond computation. The experience of last year shows us bo clearly, we cannot disregard nor forget the teaching how dependent upon the action of natural laws we are for the re ward of our labors. It ia peculiarly a question of practical im portance to the farmers of Kansas, in what way the best pecuuiary results can be ob tained from the capital and labor at their disposal. Without dispute, the corn crop will exceed any and peihap3 all other crop3 combined, at leas...
