The following was clipped from ft j lute cable telegramme: The Times' financial article says that United States bonds continue to | be bought for American account, and their prices are maintained, but j the sales by English holders is sep- arate. Individual sales also continue and are sometimes of very large amounts. The fear of the silver bill has died away, but the people now begin to dread what may follow it, and there is a strong and wide-spread feeling that if the Americans are to try experiments on their credit they had much better do so with the debt at home than in English hands. People sell, therefore, and are likely to continue to do so while so much that is dangerous seems to surround the United States national finances. If the American credit was not quite so good in Great Britain or Europe it would be as well for tins country. We are just as able to car- ry our national debt as France, and instead of sending ...

DENISON, WEDNESDAY MARCH 27. 1878 AttorncyGeneral Ogden has filed an application for a rehearing in the Anderson case. The Postmaster-General has de- cided that re-directed letters 'from hotels must bear an additional stamp before they can be forwarded. The German fleet left Panama and Aspinwall on the 14th for Nicaragua, which Bismarck proposes to block- ade. The State Medical Association o Texas will hold its tenth annual ses- sion at San Antonio, beginning on Tuesday, the second day of April. It was reported some time since that Morgan was about to complete the New Orleans road to Texas. Time has demonstrated the rumor to be a canard. Roumania has refused to receive independence at the hands of Russia, or permit the passage of Russian troops through her territory during the occupation of Bulgaria.
