The deceased was --buried:.at the Yarck : cemetery on .Sept, 29, and was borne to her last resting place on. the shoulders of some of her grandsons --- A. Free, W. J. Free, Ray Free and Bernie Smith, whilst- the, pall was carried- by Messrs. J. Clark, J. Spence'r; D. Shaw, and.W. Free, Snr. In the absence, of Rev. . Tayldr who was indisposed, the Rev. CHURCH Next Sunday, October ,9, ambassa dors of the Extension and Develop ment Committee of the Presbyterian   Church, of Victoria, will visit the vari ous charges of the Presbytery of Sey- mour ; and Mr. N. Burns Priddle is the ambassador assigned to the Alex andra charge. He will give the ad- dress at a special morning service in Alexandra at 11 o'clock, and at a combined Taggerty-Acheron service at Acheron in the afternoon at 2.30. Members of other congregations in the Alexandra charge are urged to attend one or other of these special services. The evening service in Alexandra will be held at usual at 7.30, when the Minister, the Rev. W. H. P.   McKenzie will be the preacher.

Fatal AQccdent. As-a result of a collision.with a iiotor carsa motor cycle anhd side. car overturned on the' Rubicon road on Saturday last, causing such injuries that Mrs. Jack Cup piles died instantly, and her hus band was rendered unconscious, and later died at the Alexandra: .Hospital at 2.30 a.m. on Sundady last.
