INSOLVENCY-EXAMINATION. In tho Insolvency Court at Benalla, before Mr.,:Justice Moule, on Wednes day, W. H. .' Gilbert, formerly . of Ruffy and Longwood, whose estate was compulsorily sequestrated at the in stance of ' Messrs Watts, Turnbull & Co., was examined. Exhaustive in quiries relating to the sale of Gilbert's properties at Ruffy and Pran jip was made, and the business re lationships between the firm of E. Stribling and Messrs Elgin Rose find C. Prop. Ltd. came under renew. In cross examination Mr. Stribling said that on the business of Messrs Elgin, -'Rose and Co. being floated into a proprietary company he acquired a few shares. Ho had no further interest in tho company beyond ordinary busi ' transactions, arranging advances and discounting bills. The sheep were an extra godd lot, and were much admired for their breeding and quality. All the young Eheop were first cross or comeback. There was a very largo attendance of outside buyers present, representing Finley and Albury, N.S.W., Benalla, Dookie, Mansfield, Miepoll, Longwood, Violet Town, and Euroa districts, as well as a full muster of local buyers.
