NEW IRONMONGER. [Newspaper Article] — Hawthorn, Kew, Camberwell Citizen — 5 June 1914

NEW IRONMONCER. Coming from the Ballarat district, Mr. E. H. Nicholls has this week started in business as anl ironmongery outfitter in Burwo6od-road, Hawthorn, To peep in the door, as crowds were doing on Friday night last, was to see a choice array of articles, which have been purchased with a degree of taste extremely pleasing. The idea seems to be to cater for a select community at prices which, are guaranteed on a par with those of city firms. The need for such an establishment has long been felt in the district, and the enterprise of Mr. Nicholls should be rewarded by the whole-hearted patron age of the residents. Cleanliness is very noticeable in the shop, and no effort is being spared by the pro prietor to meet with every wish of his patrons. A trial will be a sufficient influence to continue on in supporting such a local concern.
