Dr. Tomline, now Biihopof \Vinchefter, who for many yeart held the valu- able Deanery of St. Paul's, has moil munificently prciented 2,OOOl. to the Chapter for the purchafe of a painted window. At the weftern extremity of the ifland of Lii more are fome rocks feparated at low water, where the cattle may be daily obicrved reforting ; quit- ting the fertile paftures to feed on fea weed.-It has erronçoufly been fuppofed that this practice as well as the eating of fiûi was the refult of hunger. Lawless, and Mr. John Dean; together   with 27 steerage passengers, comprising only three families except three persons; namely - Mr. G. Wellard, Mr. W. Shoobridge, Mr. W.Cape, Mr. J. H. HOBART TOWN. Sitting Magistrate - Thomas Bell, Esq.   Ship News. - Arrived on Monday last from England the transport-ship Phoenix, Capt. Weatherhead, with 182 male convicts, two having died on the voyage. - Surgeon Superintendant, Dr. Evan Evans, R. N. - The guard comprises a detachment of the 3d Regiment (Old Buffs), under the orders of Brevet Lieut.-Colonel Cameron, and Ensign Pigot, of the same regiment. This vessel left Portsmouth the 5th January (the day pre- viously to the departure of the Mary Ann and Denmark Hill), and on her passage put in at Rio de Janiero, where she stayed 6 days. June 15, 1821.—We are happy to announce the arrival in the roads yesterday afternoon, of the Honorable Company's ship Kellie Castle, Captain Lindsay, from England the 26th February, having on board His Excellency General Sir Alexander Campbell, K. C. B. our Commander in Chief, with Lady Campbell, and Family. Yesterday evening His Excellency General Sir Alexander Campbell, K. C. B. landed at the fouth beach Under the usual salute on his disembarkation. LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR's COURT. | April 19.     PAGE v. CLARKSON. The plaintiff in this cause was a Steerage Pass- enger on board the ship Tiger, coming out to this   Colony ; the defendant was the Chief Officer. It appeared in evidence, that the plaintiff's cabin   door would not shut; and that, in consequence of   the motion of the ship it made a noise that dis- turbed the Captain, who sent the defendant to the plaintiff to desire he would come upon deck, to ex- plain the cause. The plaintiff said, on his receiv-   ing the message, that he was unwell (and indeed he was partly undressed and besides it rained hard. SHIP NEWS. - On Sunday last the Seringapatam whaler, Captain Joy, from the sperm whale fishery, and last from Port Jackson, arrived in the river, to fill up here with black oil; having   240 tons of spermaceti on board. - This vessel, having been 8 days on her passage, left Sydney 5 days after the brig Glory, and made the heads of the Derwent the same day as the latter; but, from   a continuance of contrary winds for 3 days, was compelled to put into Frederick. Henry Bay, where fhe is now at anchorage. - Passenger, Capt. Ritchie, R. N.
